(Baonghean.vn) - On September 4, former national team player Le Quoc Vuong will pack his bags and go to Ho Chi Minh City to take the C-certificate football coaching course, organized by the Asian Football Confederation.

Considered one of the most talented midfielders in the history of Vietnamese football, but just one mistake and the cruelty of football caused former player Le Quoc Vuong to lose too many things.

At the end of 2008, it was thought that when he returned and was allowed to play, Quoc Vuong could continue his football career, but football once again turned its back on this natural talent. Being nurtured by The Cong before being transferred to Thanh Hoa, Quoc Vuong agreed to become a member of Mr. Thuy with a contract worth up to 5 billion VND.

The joy was short-lived, and soon he was stuck in a situation where he could not play and could not leave when Mr. Thuy left the team in Ha Tinh and moved to Ho Chi Minh City to play football. After much haggling, pleading, and suing, by the end of 2011, Quoc Vuong was able to escape Mr. Thuy to return to play for Thanh Hoa.

The tragedy of Vuong's life has not stopped yet, when only half way through the 2012 season with Thanh Hoa, Le Quoc Vuong was unjustly kicked out of the game by Mr. De.

Leaving Thanh Hoa, SLNA and Coach Huu Thang extended their support to Quoc Vuong, but at the last minute, he could not sign a contract with his hometown team. The reason was simply because Mr. De demanded a debt of 400 million VND in advance payment, and was determined not to issue a contract termination certificate for Vuong to join another team.

With the economy facing many difficulties, Quoc Vuong was unable to find the 400 million to pay Thanh Hoa, so he had to miss the opportunity to join SLNA. In a desperate situation, and suffering from an injury, the once-famous midfielder had to close his eyes and leave the professional football field, working as a freight forwarder, while playing amateur football for a transport company in Vinh City.

After a year working as a porter and freight forwarder with an income of only 5-6 million VND/month, not enough to raise a child, former midfielder Le Quoc Vuong unexpectedly found a career in marketing, working for a famous Russian beverage company.

Here, no one can believe that a player who only knows the football field all year round can take on the role of a marketing specialist and be responsible for developing the brand as well as managing hundreds of other employees.

In fact, in addition to his natural talent for playing football that many people love, his diplomatic talent and leadership qualities have helped Vuong completely master his new job. And now Vuong is a senior manager, coordinating the area from Da Nang to the North.

Having left the professional football field for many years, and having succeeded in a new position, Quoc Vuong still misses and worries about the country's football. In fact, when he was still playing at the top level, Vuong had all the qualities of an organizing midfielder, dominating the midfield. In addition, he had a sharp tactical vision and a thorough, realistic view of the Vietnamese football field.

That's why, even though the former SLNA player did not study for any coaching certificate, famous TV channels such as K+, Football TV and a series of prestigious sports newspapers still sought out Vuong as a real football expert to collect analysis and commentary.

From V.League to SEA Games, from AFF Cup to EURO, Premier League or World Cup, Quoc Vuong has truly demonstrated his ability to debate and his understanding with profound and professional comments.

Once, veteran journalist Nguyen Luu, when talking about Quoc Vuong's comments, shared: "I carefully read Quoc Vuong's modest comments when talking about the Vietnam National Team, the words are in line with the readers' ideas. Precise in narrow expertise and not empty in language, very sincere and that is the difference. I am very pleased to see that Vuong has both heart and vision."

If on television, Vuong's strong Nghe accent makes listeners feel both close and realistic, then the former midfielder's comments in newspapers make a difference by daring to speak frankly, honestly and choosing the right focus of the problem. From here, once again many people shake their heads in regret, Vuong has enough qualities to be a good coach.

Finally, after a period of incubation, Quoc Vuong decided to leave Hanoi to return to Vinh City to earn a living. Recently, he successfully registered for a coaching course organized by AFC.

It is known that the C-certificate football coach course that Quoc Vuong is studying will start from September 4 and end on September 16. The C-certificate will be the starting point for future coaches like Quoc Vuong or before that, Van Quyen.

After graduating, Quoc Vuong's goal is to study higher, with a B and A degree, to be able to develop his career. If he has an A degree in hand, Quoc Vuong can completely try his hand at the V.League playground.

“For a long time, I have wanted to pass on what I have, including my mistakes, to the younger generation to learn from. Now that I have received the notice to go to school, I am as happy as a child and extremely excited. I know my personality is too straightforward, I often defend what is right to the end, so it is also a barrier. But I will try my best to make this dream come true.”

The golden generation of players of the past, now each has their own path. Although not officially pursuing a coaching career like Huy Hoang, Nhu Thuat, Van Quyen, the news that Quoc Vuong has decided to pursue a coaching career is something worth waiting for./.
