Following government directives, corporations and state-owned enterprises must submit their restructuring plans in August.

According to the Department of Corporate Finance (Ministry of Finance), seven corporations and general companies have submitted restructuring plans to the Government so far. Approximately 40 enterprises are seeking feedback on the draft, and 15 enterprises are developing restructuring plans.

In the proposal, the units must develop plans for divesting non-core investments in order to effectively preserve state capital in the enterprises.
Divestment can be carried out through methods such as transferring capital to the State Capital Investment and Business Corporation, privatization, ownership transformation, debt trading, etc.

The Ministry of Finance will develop a plan for handling corporate debt, inviting experts from countries with successful debt resolution experiences, such as Japan, to assist in developing the plan. The process of divesting state-owned enterprises from sectors outside their core business must be completed before 2015.
