(Baonghean.vn) - On October 26, 2014, the Criminal Investigation Department of the Nghe An Provincial Police announced that it had investigated and apprehended the suspect responsible for the explosion on a sleeper bus with license plate 29B-05671 belonging to Thanh Xuan Transport Joint Stock Company, operating on the Vinh - Hanoi route, which occurred in Nghi Loc district on September 30, 2014. A reenactment of the incident was also conducted as part of the investigation.

According to the investigation results, due to a business dispute with Mr. Le Cong Tung (born in 1985), residing in Hamlet 10, Quynh Loc, Hoang Mai Town (bordering Tinh Gia, Thanh Hoa), the owner of the Window Tung Bach plastic door manufacturing facility, on September 19, 2014, Le Duc De (born in 1989), residing in Block 15, Mai Hung Ward, Hoang Mai Town, manufactured a bomb, packed it in a cardboard box, and sent it to Mr. Le Cong Tung.

The suspect, Le Duc De, reenacted the process of making a mine placed inside a music speaker.

On September 21, 2014, De rode his motorbike carrying a "gift box" to Vinh City. After driving around for a while to take care of some personal matters, at around 8:30 PM, De went to Vinh bus station to catch a ride to send the loudspeaker, which had been rigged with explosives, to Tung.

From September 22nd to 29th, no one called to return the goods. On the morning of September 30th, the aforementioned passenger bus departed from Vinh City to Hanoi. Upon reaching Hamlet 1, Nghi Long Commune, the bus assistant, Thai Viet Hao, opened the package to check its contents. Inside the cardboard box was a music speaker. At that time, Hao borrowed a memory card, inserted it into the speaker, plugged it in, and turned on the switch at the back to test it, causing it to explode. The driver and two bus assistants were seriously injured and had to be rushed to the hospital. They were Tran Van Tam (born in 1980), residing in Xuan Trung, Hung Dung, Vinh City; Tran Dinh Ninh (born in 1975); and Thai Viet Hao (born in 1979), both residing in Nghi Van Commune, Nghi Loc District.

Upon receiving the report from the Nghi Loc District Police, the Criminal Investigation Department of the Nghe An Provincial Police, in coordination with several professional units, established a team to examine the crime scene and the vehicle, and simultaneously seized related evidence for forensic examination. During the investigation, the special task force identified Le Duc De as the perpetrator of the incident; however, it was not until October 23rd that the task force had sufficient evidence.

On October 24th, the special task force, in coordination with the Hoang Mai Town Police, arrested Le Duc De and simultaneously searched his private residence and business premises in Quynh Thien Ward, Hoang Mai Town, seizing a quantity of explosives and related evidence.

At the police station, Le Duc De confessed to all his crimes. The case is currently under further investigation.
