Rolling rocks collapsed the upper pavilion of the martyrs' cemetery

(Baonghean.vn) - A rock weighing nearly 10 tons rolled down from a high mountain, completely damaging the upper part of the martyrs' cemetery in Muong Long commune (Ky Son).

On the evening of July 11, in Muong Long commune (Ky Son), there was a very heavy rain that lasted for nearly 4 hours. At around 11 pm on the same day, a rock rolled down from the mountain, collapsing the upper part of the martyrs' cemetery located in Trung Tam village, Muong Long commune.

It is known that this is the burial ground of 33 martyrs, most of whom were workers of the provincial Department of Agriculture’s tree nursery. These martyrs died on June 24, 1964 after being attacked by bandits at night.

The natural rock is 3.5m long, 1.5m wide and 1.9m high. Fortunately, no one was injured. The incident is being resolved by Muong Long commune in coordination with Ky Son district./.
