Can ice help you lose weight?
You probably don’t use ice cubes with food once a day in your diet. However, this can help you lose 0.5 kg/month without having to adjust your regular diet or exercise time for the following reasons:

1. Energy consumption
When you eat something very cold, for example an ice cube, your body needs to consume more energy to melt the ice cube and convert it back to normal temperature.
2. Speed up metabolism
Eating ice also stimulates the metabolic rate and this is great for weight loss.
Note:
- You should not eat too much ice (equivalent to 1 liter of water) because this will damage your gums and tooth enamel. If you use dentures or crowns, chewing ice regularly can cause the dentures to break.
- Eating too much ice can cause body temperature to drop, affecting the function of other organs.
- Avoid eating ice in very cold and very hot climates, this is extremely dangerous.
