Da Nang invests 70 billion VND to install cameras in 56 communes and wards

On October 6, the People's Committee of Da Nang City announced that it had just approved the investment policy for the construction of a camera system project to monitor security, traffic, and order in Da Nang City.
Accordingly, the investor and project operator is the Da Nang City Police with the goal of investing in a camera system to monitor security, traffic, and order in the area to monitor security, order, and traffic to serve the work of preventing, attacking, suppressing, investigating, and handling crimes in a practical and effective manner, maintaining security, order, and traffic safety in the area to be more guaranteed.
The project will install 6 servers with smart camera software to store and process information centrally at the city police information command center. Each server meets the requirement of storing 500 channels simultaneously - with the ability to expand to 5,000 channels (original Vietnamese software system, camera image storage meets 30 days).
Install 8 computers at 7 district and city police headquarters to access information from the central server located at the city police.
Install 56 video recorders and display TVs in 56 communes and wards to monitor and process information directly from cameras in the ward. Install 1,609 camera sets throughout the city.
The total investment of the project is over 69.5 billion VND from socialized capital and the city budget. The investment period is 2016-2017, in which phase 1 is expected to be implemented in Hai Chau district in the fourth quarter of 2016, phase 2 is expected to be implemented in the remaining districts.
