Da Nang proposed to posthumously award the title of Hero to Mr. Nguyen Ba Thanh

On the morning of October 3, the Da Nang City Party Committee announced that it had agreed to propose the President to posthumously award the title of Hero of Labor to Mr. Nguyen Ba Thanh.

This is one of the contents on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Da Nang city being directly under the Central Government.

Previously, the Steering Committee for implementing activities to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Da Nang city being directly under the Central Government (1997-2017) chaired a meeting with relevant departments and branches to review preparations for this meaningful and especially important event.

According to the city's steering committee, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of becoming a centrally-run city, Da Nang will carry out 14 major tasks (including 37 detailed activities) and be coordinated by 25 departments, branches and sectors.

Highlights include the 20th Anniversary of Da Nang City being directly under the Central Government; Workshop “Da Nang City - 20 years of construction, development and future orientations” combined with the display of business products; Opening of Da Nang Book Street; Special art program.

In addition, there are also activities such as honoring "Outstanding Citizens" and "Awarding City Badges"; Organizing the opening and putting into operation thematic exhibitions of Hoang Sa Exhibition House; Photo exhibition "Da Nang - Age of Twenties"...
