Da Nang: Teachers who provide extra tutoring will be dismissed.
On the morning of April 10th, the Da Nang Department of Education and Training officially implemented the decision to "say no to extra tutoring in public schools funded by the state budget."
Accordingly, the Da Nang Department of Education and Training stated that if teachers and staff in secondary schools violate regulations on tutoring for the first time, they will be reprimanded within the school's teaching staff and will not be considered for any emulation titles for that school year; for the second time, they will receive a warning throughout the entire sector and their salary increase will be delayed by one year compared to the regulations; for the third time, they will be transferred to another position and their employment will be considered terminated.
Teachers are not allowed to provide extra tutoring for primary school students or students who already receive two sessions of instruction per day at school. Individuals without a teaching degree or certificate are not permitted to open or teach in extra tutoring classes.
Teachers whose salaries are paid from the payroll of public institutions, and teachers in private secondary schools, are not allowed to organize or participate in organizing extracurricular tutoring outside of school.
Students in the regular classes that the teacher is currently teaching at the school are not allowed to participate in extracurricular activities.
Extracurricular tutoring at secondary schools is assigned and decided by the school principal. Teachers are not allowed to open classes on their own initiative.
