Da Nang People's Council meeting without chairman
Because a new chairman has not been elected, the 6th session of the 9th term Da Nang City People's Council was chaired by Mr. Nguyen Nho Trung.
On the morning of December 5, the 6th session of the 9th term of the Da Nang People's Council opened. After Mr. Nguyen Xuan Anh was dismissed as a delegate and chairman, the Da Nang People's Council has not elected a new leader. This session was chaired by Mr. Nguyen Nho Trung, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Council.
In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Nho Trung said that the session will shorten the time for presenting reports and proposals; spend most of the time on discussion, questioning, receiving and explaining from the City People's Committee and related departments and branches.

The session will devote a lot of time to question and answer activities, focusing on issues of concern to voters, shortcomings in State management in the city and long-standing commitments that have not been completely resolved.
"Delegates should discuss enthusiastically, debate to the end, appreciate the advantages, not avoid or push away the weaknesses and shortcomings, listen and choose correctly, choose the pressing issues that voters expect and entrust, the legitimate demands for a better developed Da Nang," Mr. Trung suggested.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Truong Quang Nghia, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, said that this was an unprecedented meeting without a People's Council Chairman because the former chairman had committed violations and was disciplined by the Central Committee. The delegates voted to dismiss him from his position as a delegate and chairman of the City People's Council.
Mr. Nghia suggested that the delegates must arrange a suitable working program and ask questions frankly to clarify the issues that people are still concerned about and voters are concerned about. The Secretary of Da Nang hopes that after the meeting, the remaining issues, the work and promises that the leaders of the Departments and branches still "owe" the people will be focused on and resolved.
