Destroyed Tuan 'monkey'

After many days of hiding, on the evening of February 13, suspect Le Quoc Tuan (alias Tuan “monkey” or Tuan Thuy, born in 1987, residing in Cu Chi district) was killed by the police. Suspect Tuan was surrounded and captured by the reconnaissance force of the Ministry of Public Security in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Police in the area bordering Hoc Mon and Cu Chi districts and was killed when he resisted.

During the arrest, the suspect fought back, forcing the police to open fire and kill him from a distance of more than 3 meters. Suspect Tuan was identified as a police lieutenant, who was working at the detention center of District 11 Police before the crime.

In addition to killing Tuan, the police also arrested two other suspects involved, Le Quoc Minh (born in 1993, cousin) and Pham Thanh Tam (aka Ty Ba Dom, born in 1987, close friend of Tuan, both residing in Cu Chi district). The police are currently expanding the investigation and have not yet provided detailed information about the above incident.

The area the police surrounded this time is about 10km as the crow flies from the area where the police previously surrounded and searched for Tuan "monkey" (Bon Phu hamlet, Trung An commune, Cu Chi district).

Thus, after nearly 13 days of pursuit, the police discovered where Tuan "monkey" was hiding and shot the suspect.

Previously, on the afternoon of the 5th day of Tet (January 29), Tuan and Le Quoc Minh (alias Minh Sida, born in 1993, residing in Cu Chi district) went to the casino in the longan garden on Road 121, Hamlet 5, Tan Thanh Dong Commune, Cu Chi district to gamble.

Due to a conflict there, Tuan opened fire with an AK gun, killing 4 people and injuring 1, then stole a motorbike and escaped. On the way to escape, Tuan also committed 2 more robberies on the afternoon of the 5th and early morning of the 6th of Tet. One of them was the fatal shooting on Provincial Road 15, Phu Thuan Hamlet, Phu Hoa Dong Commune, Cu Chi District.

According to initial information, when he opened fire at the casino, Tuan "monkey" robbed a SH motorbike with 1 billion VND inside and asked Tam to keep it for him while fleeing.
