1 missing fisherman found at sea

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 24, Mr. Ho Hoang Nghiep - Chairman of Tien Thuy Commune People's Committee, Quynh Luu District, said that while people were catching shrimp, they discovered the body of a fisherman who had gone missing at sea earlier.

Accordingly, around the evening of December 23, some people in Tien Thuy commune used a small-capacity boat to go out to sea to catch shrimp. While fishing, people discovered a body entangled in the shrimp trap. Immediately after that, some fishermen who were fishing informed the local authorities, and at the same time, they salvaged the body onto the boat and brought it to shore.

After the victim was brought ashore, his family came to identify and confirm that the body found was that of Nguyen Van Hien (born in 1993), residing in Son Hai hamlet, Tien Thuy commune, who went missing at sea while fishing for shrimp. The remaining fisherman is still missing.

This morning, December 24, the ship that sank at sea was also salvaged to shore.

Local authorities and several boats are actively searching for the remaining bodies.

Previously, at 3:00 p.m. on December 20, two brothers, Nguyen Van Hien - born in 1993 and Nguyen Van Hoi - born in 1995, residing in Son Hai village, Tien Thuy commune, used the NA 3705 boat (20 CV capacity) to go fishing for shrimp in the open sea. By dawn on December 21, they lost contact. After receiving the information, Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station coordinated with local authorities to conduct a search.
