The bodies of two sisters who drowned at sea have been found.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of June 23, Mr. Dau Ngoc Thuy - Chairman of Dien Ngoc commune, Dien Chau district, announced that the bodies of two sisters who drowned in Dien Thanh sea yesterday (June 22) have been found.

Following search efforts throughout yesterday afternoon and this morning by the authorities of Dien Ngoc and Dien Thanh communes in Dien Chau district, with the support of the Dien Thanh Border Guard Post, at 12:30 noon today (June 23), the authorities found the body of Tham, and 30 minutes later, the body of Duyen was found, approximately 5 nautical miles from where the drowning occurred.

The bodies of the two sisters were brought ashore.

As reported, at around 3 PM on June 22nd, a tragic drowning incident occurred in Hamlet 4, Dien Thanh beach area, resulting in the deaths of two sisters, Tran Thi Duyen (born in 1999) and Tran Thi Tham (born in 2001), from Yen Quang hamlet, Dien Ngoc commune.

Relatives are holding a funeral for the two sisters according to local customs.

The bodies of the two children have now been brought ashore so their families can hold funeral ceremonies according to local customs.
