(Baonghean.vn) - After nearly a week of searching, at 1:00 a.m. on March 11, local people found the body of a male student from Nghe An who was swept away by waves on the sea of ​​Thua Thien Hue.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Mai (46 years old), a relative of the victim, currently in Quang Dien (Thua Thien Hue), at 1:00 a.m. on March 11, local people found the body of Nguyen Van Dat - a student at Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry drifting to the shore of An Xuan hamlet, Quang An commune, Quang Dien district, nearly 30km from the location where Dat was swept away (Phu Thuan commune, Phu Vang district).

As reported, on Sunday afternoon, March 5, Nguyen Van Dat and two friends went to Phu Thuan beach, Phu Thuan commune, Phu Vang district (Thua Thien Hue). While swimming, Dat was swept away by the waves, his friends called for help but it was too late.

Immediately, local authorities mobilized local forces to coordinate with local people, relatives, border guards and students of Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry to search for a week.

Currently, the victim's family and relatives are completing procedures to bring the body of male student Nguyen Van Dat back to his hometown in Thanh Lien commune, Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An province.
