At 2:30 p.m. today, three more bodies were found in the water tank area of the barracks. Thus, after more than a day and night of searching, the rescue team found all 22 buried soldiers.
Earlier, at 1:20 p.m., search forces discovered traces of several bodies, but removing the bodies was difficult due to the large amount of mud and houses being pushed and covered.

The search for victims at the scene continued through the afternoon with 13 excavators and more than 300 people divided into many digging teams. According to the rescue team, about 2 million m3Earth and rocks fell on the housesDefense Economic Group 337, in some places the rock and soil were buried nearly 10 meters deep.
The forward command post has two observation posts from above to warn of further landslides; yesterday the two observation posts warned six times about small landslides.

Relatives of the victims gathered at the Dong Ha City multi-purpose gymnasium to wait for the bodies. Having just traveled hundreds of kilometers in the rain and floods from her hometown (Ha Tinh) to the gate of the multi-purpose gymnasium, Ms. Kieu Thi Nhung, wife of victim Tran Quoc Dung, said in tears: "With you gone, how will my mother and I live?"
