Atletico have the chance to win the European Cup when they meet their neighbours Real Madrid on Saturday. This is the third time the team has reached the final, after two bitter defeats to Bayern and Real in 1974 and 2014.

"We have to win this Saturday," Atletico president Enrique Cerezo told Marca Radio. "Otherwise it would be a huge disappointment. We can win in a spectacular way or with fouls, as long as we are champions."

Coach Simeone's team advanced to the final with a defensive counter-attacking style of play. Atletico's fierce and combative style of play often caused them to foul their opponents. The upcoming match with Real promises to be even more heated due to the hostility between the two teams from the same city of Madrid.
