(Baonghean.vn) - As a key highlight of the "Decade of Events" festival at Nguyen Canh Hoan Temple in Trang Son commune (Do Luong district), the procession of the deity is organized on a large scale, attracting the attention of locals and tourists.

In the "Decade of Customs," there are two main processions: the procession of ancestors from the major branches of the Nguyen Canh family from various districts and towns in the province to the temple of Grand Tutor Nguyen Canh Hoan for the ceremony (13th day of the 3rd lunar month), and the procession of the deity from the Grand Tutor's temple to the Duc Hoang temple (15th day of the 3rd lunar month). The heart of the "Decade of Decade" festival is the magnificent procession, meticulously organized: the military commander leads the way, banners and flags are proudly displayed, elephants and horses lead the charge, the sacred palanquin is majestic, and a formation of warriors holding weapons aloft embodies the traditional values of "Loyalty, diligence, righteousness, protecting the nation and its people." Reportedly, before the festival took place, in preparation for the procession of the deity, the Organizing Committee surveyed the routes from the Thai Pho Temple to the Duc Hoang Temple and vice versa; carefully checked and inspected the ritual objects, tools, sacred animals, vehicles, palanquins, images, flags, and other items to be used in the procession; and conducted thorough rehearsals... On this occasion, descendants of the Nguyen Canh family from all over the country come to the Thai Pho Temple to attend the festival and participate in the procession with feelings of excitement and pride in the traditions of their ancestors and their family lineage. Photo: Huy Thu

Security, order, traffic safety, fire prevention, and firefighting were meticulously coordinated by the Organizing Committee with various forces in Do Luong district, ensuring the smooth running of the procession. Upon arriving at Duc Hoang Temple (the temple dedicated to King Le Trang Tong), the procession lowered the sacred palanquin before the triple gate, and representatives of the Organizing Committee offered prayers and performed the necessary procedures to inform the King and request permission to open the festival. The group then proceeded to Phuc My Pagoda to join the monks and Buddhist followers in offering prayers to the Buddha, requesting scriptures, and taking refuge in the Three Jewels for the ancestral deities of the Nguyen Canh family, so that they may follow the Three Jewels and provide sacred guidance in educating their descendants.
