9x delegate brings young child to National Assembly meeting

On March 2, 100-day-old baby girl Xiao Yu Yan followed her mother from Wuhan to Beijing to attend the first session of the 13th National People's Congress (NPC).

The baby’s mother is Trinh Mong Tinh, a 9x generation entrepreneur who was elected to the National Assembly. Because Tieu Du Yen is still breastfeeding, Trinh Mong Tinh was given special permission to bring her baby and a nanny to attend the meeting. The delegates jokingly called her “off-the-record delegate”.

Trinh Mong Tinh was born in 1990. In 2013, after graduating from university, she did not stay in the city to work but chose to return to her hometown to start a business, boldly borrowing money from the bank to open a factory to process bean curd - a local specialty in the village. Currently, her factory has more than 20 workers, the production of "Nutritious bean curd" products cannot meet the demand, in 2016 she earned a profit of 300 thousand NDT (1.05 billion VND).

This young mother went to Beijing to attend the meeting and brought with her a recommendation that the government should have more policies to support poverty reduction and encourage students to return to the countryside to start businesses to develop their hometown economy.
