Provincial People's Council representatives meet with voters in Nghia Dan.

(Baonghean.vn) - Implementing the program of meeting with voters before the 14th session of the 16th Provincial People's Council, on the morning of June 20th, the provincial People's Council delegates, including comrades Nguyen Xuan Son - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; and Phan The Phuong - Chairman of the Fatherland Front of Nghia Dan district, held a meeting with voters in Nghia Minh commune, Nghia Dan district.

During the meeting, Comrade Phan The Phuong informed the voters about the content, program, and expected time of the 14th session of the 16th Provincial People's Council; the results of the implementation of socio-economic development tasks in the first six months of the year, and the direction and tasks for socio-economic development in the last six months of the year of the Provincial People's Committee; and reported on the results of resolving opinions and recommendations of voters in the province.

During the meeting, voters expressed their enthusiasm for the results achieved by the province in the first six months of 2015, while also raising several issues such as: the slow and inadequate processing of benefits for war veterans; the dilapidated state of the power grid and the excessively long distances between power lines and residential areas; a survey to support the domestic water supply system; a request to consider granting insurance benefits to relatives of Agent Orange victims; and the low level of benefits and policies for specialized officials at the grassroots level.

The opinions and suggestions of voters have been received and addressed by the provincial People's Council representatives; some issues within the district's jurisdiction have been explained by the district leaders; other opinions and suggestions of voters will be compiled and forwarded to relevant agencies for consideration, resolution, and response at the 14th session of the 16th Provincial People's Council in the near future.

* On the afternoon of June 20th, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - held a meeting with voters in Nghia Mai commune, Nghia Dan district. Representatives of the District People's Council also participated in the meeting.

During the meeting, the Provincial and District People's Council representatives reported to the voters of the commune on the content, program, and schedule of the upcoming 14th session of the 17th Provincial People's Council; reported on the implementation of socio-economic, national defense and security tasks in the first six months of the year, and the tasks and solutions for the last six months of 2015; and reported on the results of resolving voters' requests from the previous session.

Pleased with the socio-economic achievements of the province in the first six months of the year, voters in Nghia Mai commune have submitted suggestions to the upcoming Provincial People's Council meeting focusing on issues such as: the need for preferential policies in employment for rural workers and ethnic minorities; a request for the province to invest in and upgrade roads from the commune center to the hamlets; the establishment of an additional preschool in the central commune; the resolution of retirement benefits for some officials after the Party Congress; and the desire for support in drilling wells due to the prolonged drought and lack of water for daily life and production.

On behalf of the provincial People's Council delegates, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son explained some issues within his authority, and at the same time, received the remaining opinions and proposals to submit to the upcoming session of the provincial People's Council and competent authorities for resolution, in order to provide timely answers to the voters.
