(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of May 4, a delegation of the Vietnam Veterans Associationoffering flowers and reporting achievements at Uncle Ho's statue.

This is the delegation attending the Conference of Veterans of Northern Provinces and Cities on Traffic Safety. Comrade Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Duoc - National Assembly Delegate, President of the Vietnam Veterans Association led the delegation.

In front of the statue of President Ho Chi Minh, the delegation of the Veterans Association pledged to always uphold the spirit of self-reliance and self-strengthening of Vietnamese veterans; continue to promote the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers; study and follow his ideology, morality and style; and forever follow the revolutionary path chosen by the Party and Uncle Ho.

On behalf of the delegation, Colonel Pham Xuan Thau - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department of the Vietnam Veterans Association reported to the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh: “Since its establishment, under the leadership of the Party, the Vietnam Veterans Association has continuously grown and developed; operated actively, in the right direction with high efficiency, gained prestige in society, and excellently fulfilled the tasks assigned by the Party and the State. Especially the work of mobilizing veterans to unite, promote the nature and tradition of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", actively participate in building and protecting the Party and the socialist government.

The Vietnam Veterans Association regularly does a good job of propagating and mobilizing veterans to promote self-reliance, strive to reduce poverty quickly and sustainably, promote charitable activities, help each other improve their lives, strive to get rich legally, and contribute to the socio-economic development of the country.

Along with that is the mobilization of local veterans to actively participate in educating the younger generation about the tradition of patriotism and revolutionary heroism.
