Speaking at the discussion session at the National Assembly Hall on the afternoon of May 30, delegate Nguyen Thanh Hien - Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province raised a number of issues of interest to voters nationwide in general and Nghe An voters in particular.
Accordingly, the majority of voters noted that many corruption cases have been strictly handled, with no forbidden areas in the fight against corruption.
However, the current policy mechanism still has many loopholes, is not suitable for reality, and is slow to be overcome. The rate of asset recovery after corruption is still low, the situation of harassment and petty corruption by officials and civil servants has not changed, causing frustration, making people have an unfavorable view of officials and state agencies.
Delegate Hien suggested that the Party, State, all levels and sectors pay attention to directing the effective resolution of this situation, attaching the responsibility of the heads of agencies, units and localities, with the monitoring of elected bodies, voters and people nationwide with specific inspection and evaluation regulations.
Besides, although there have been many efforts to push back counterfeit, fake and poor quality goods with encouraging initial results, the Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province still believes that the current situation of trade fraud through the use of the origin of goods produced in Vietnam is increasing, causing unpredictable harm.
Arguing that this situation causes consumers to lose confidence in Vietnamese goods and Vietnamese businesses to lose market share, delegates suggested that the Government and relevant ministries and agencies need to improve the coordination mechanism for market inspection and supervision, and have a strong enough legal barrier as a basis for authorities to effectively control the market.
In addition, it is necessary to raise awareness of the responsibility of businesses to protect their brands such as registering product trademarks, intellectual property rights, and transparency of information about standards...
Also in his speech at the conference, delegate Nguyen Thanh Hien pointed out that every year when the flood season comes, people in flood-affected areas are often very worried. In Nghe An, the impact of storm No. 4 at the end of 2018 caused a lot of damage to people and property. Although the consequences have been actively coordinated by all levels, sectors and hydropower plants, people's lives still face many difficulties.
Voters believe that in addition to objective causes, there are also subjective causes, which are the flood discharge and the excessive flow of the factory on the Ca River. Therefore, to cope with the upcoming flood season, in addition to the close efforts of authorities at all levels and hydropower plants, people in the western districts of Nghe An recommend that the Government and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment soon issue a procedure for operating inter-reservoirs in the Ca River basin, and at the same time soon invest in the project of the Hydrometeorological Radar System for the upstream area of the Ca River basin.
