National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An meets voters of Con Cuong district
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 1, National Assembly delegates from Nghe An met with voters after the 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly in Mon Son commune, Con Cuong district.

At the meeting with voters, on behalf of the provincial National Assembly deputies, Mr. Tran Nhat Minh informed voters of the results of the 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly, which took place from October 23 to November 29, 2023.
Accordingly, after 22.5 working days, the 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly completed the entire proposed program, with the following results: passing 7 laws and 9 resolutions; giving third opinions on 1 draft law, giving second opinions on 1 draft law; giving first opinions on 8 other draft laws; taking a vote of confidence on 44 people holding positions elected or approved by the National Assembly; supervising the topic "Implementation of the National Assembly's resolutions on the National Target Programs on new rural construction in the 2021-2025 period, sustainable poverty reduction in the 2021-2025 period, socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the 2021-2030 period".

At the session, National Assembly deputies also questioned and answered questions on the implementation of a number of resolutions of the 14th National Assembly and from the beginning of the 15th term to the end of the 4th Session on thematic supervision and questioning; considered and decided on socio-economic and state budget issues; considered reports on synthesizing voters' and people's petitions, reports on the results of supervising the settlement of voters' petitions, and a number of other important contents.
Informing voters, Mr. Tran Nhat Minh also clarified the renaming of the Citizen Identification Card to the Identity Card according to the Law on Identity Cards recently passed by the National Assembly. The Law on Identity Cards consists of 7 chapters and 46 articles, of which, additional provisions have been added on: Issuing Identity Certificates to people of Vietnamese origin whose nationality has not been determined; issuing ID cards to people under 14 years old upon request; integrating digital information into the identity card; adding provisions on electronic identification cards... The Law takes effect from July 1, 2024.

Attending the conference, Mon Son commune voters highly appreciated the results of the 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly. In addition, Mon Son commune voters also gave many opinions and recommendations related to the construction of traffic infrastructure, irrigation works, clean water works; regimes and policies for cadres; policies for those participating in frontline labor; land and forest allocation, etc.

Voters from Mon Son commune expressed their opinions that in 2001, Tan Son village had 36 Dan Lai households resettled, but now their lives are not stable due to the deterioration of the housing under the project; in addition, the Dan Lai households have now grown to over 50 households, so they are facing difficulties in land. Voters recommended that all levels pay attention to and support the repair of houses, livestock, crops, and the arrangement of land for resettled people to stabilize their lives and develop their economy with peace of mind.
In addition, voters of Tan Son village also proposed that the National Assembly consider and recognize the Dan Lai ethnic group as an ethnic minority.

Voter Lo Van Tu in Thai Hoa village, Mon Son commune, expressed his opinion that the road from Thai Hoa village to Lang Yen village is often flooded during the rainy season, causing the village to be isolated and making it difficult for students to go to school. Mr. Lo Van Tu suggested that all levels pay attention to upgrading and building this road to serve the daily life of the people.
Voter Nguyen Van Tinh in Thai Son 1 village suggested that Pha Lai dam was built 20 years ago, but now many items have degraded, posing many potential risks, especially during the rainy season. In addition, the embankment on both sides of Giang river has many areas of landslides and degradation. Voters requested that superiors pay attention to investing in maintenance and repair, ensuring the safety of the lake, dam and people's lives.

Policies on supporting ethnic minorities; policies for people participating in frontline labor; problems related to administrative boundaries of Con Cuong and Anh Son districts; compensation support for assets on land for households donating land for road construction; forest protection contract regime; regime for village and hamlet police officers and veterinarians; ... were also reflected and recommended by voters to the Provincial National Assembly Delegation.
After listening to voters' opinions, representatives of local leaders and departments discussed and answered a number of issues within their authority.


On behalf of the provincial National Assembly delegation, Mr. Tran Nhat Minh answered the questions within his authority. At the same time, he received the opinions and recommendations of voters to forward to the Government, the National Assembly and relevant levels and sectors for consideration and resolution.
