Members of Parliament meet with voters in Quy Chau district.

At the meeting with constituents, on behalf of the National Assembly delegates, delegate Dang Xuan Phuong reported on the results of the 5th session of the 15th National Assembly after 23 days of serious, expeditious, scientific, democratic, and highly responsible work.

Specifically, at its 5th session, the National Assembly passed 8 laws and 17 resolutions. The National Assembly devoted considerable time to discussing the Government's reports and presentations on socio-economic development; based on this, it requested the Government, relevant agencies, and all levels and sectors to continue implementing comprehensively, promptly, and synchronously the policies, tasks, and solutions according to the objectives set by the Central Party Committee, the National Assembly, and the Government.

During the session, the National Assembly delegation of Nghe An province had 56 delegates participating in discussions on draft laws, draft resolutions, reports on socio-economic development; security and defense; the State budget and other important issues under the authority of the National Assembly.

During the session, the delegation held working meetings with several central ministries and agencies; participated in experience-sharing activities with National Assembly delegations from provinces and centrally-administered cities to provide information on the province's socio-economic situation, local proposals and recommendations, and issues related to the session's agenda.

In a democratic and frank spirit, voters in Quy Chau district participated in eight rounds of feedback, raising 15 issues. These opinions and suggestions covered various topics related to healthcare, education, environmental resources, ethnic minority policies, compensation and resettlement, etc., primarily falling under the jurisdiction of higher levels of government.

Voter Luong Thi Chi from Chau Thang commune requested attention to the staffing of reserve officers and consideration for promotion to a rank commensurate with the duties of the Commander of the Commune Military Command according to regulations.

Voter Chi also raised the issue that in 2019, the Association of Victims of Agent Orange was established, and the position of Chairman of the Association of Victims of Agent Orange had an allowance of 0.6 times the basic salary. However, from 2020 to the present, the Chairman of the Association of Victims of Agent Orange has not received an allowance. She requested that the competent authorities consider establishing an allowance system for this position.

Voter Ha Van Chinh from Chau Thuan commune suggested that the National Assembly consider policies to support ethnic minorities in mountainous areas, and consider increasing the allowance for village and hamlet officials after the merger.

In addition, voters requested attention to the construction and improvement of the power grid system serving the daily lives and production of the people. Issues concerning policies for war veterans; compensation for land clearance; construction of transportation infrastructure; rotation and secondment of teachers, etc., were also submitted by voters to the Provincial National Assembly Delegation.

Following the feedback from voters, representatives from several provincial departments and agencies, along with leaders of Quy Chau district, directly addressed and explained the issues within their jurisdiction.

At the conclusion of the conference, on behalf of the National Assembly delegates, Mr. Tran Duc Thuan - Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee on National Defense and Security - thanked the voters for their interest in the activities of the National Assembly as well as their concerns and suggestions to the National Assembly and all levels and sectors.

Representative Tran Duc Thuan also requested that the Party Committee and the government of Quy Chau district pay attention to reviewing the issues raised by voters to resolve those within their authority and to propose and coordinate the resolution of issues within the authority of higher levels, ensuring the overall development of the district and the rights of the people.
