Members of Parliament meet with constituents at the Office of the Delegation of National Assembly Deputies and the People's Council.

(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of December 5, 2014, in Vinh City, the Office of the Delegation of National Assembly Deputies and the People's Council of Nghe An Province organized a post-session meeting between National Assembly Deputies and voters of the Office of the Delegation of National Assembly Deputies and the People's Council of the province.

Attending the meeting were Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, and representatives of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee. Mr. Pham Van Tan, Provincial Party Committee Member and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, also participated in the meeting.

At the meeting, Mr. Pham Van Tan, on behalf of the National Assembly delegation of Nghe An province, introduced the basic contents of the recently concluded 8th session of the 13th National Assembly. Accordingly, in addition to general activities, the Nghe An National Assembly delegation also participated in discussions, questioning, and supervision. Immediately after the session ended, the delegation arranged for National Assembly representatives to meet with constituents and inform them of the results. Through these recent meetings with constituents, the delegation recorded an additional 22 groups of issues from thousands of opinions with over 65,000 constituents participating throughout the province.

In addition to the above content, Mr. Pham Van Tan also provided an in-depth introduction to several Resolutions and Laws that the National Assembly has prioritized for implementation of the Constitution; and the main contents of major thematic programs and projects that the National Assembly supervises and provides input on. Notably, 12 draft Laws are currently under development and have received feedback from the National Assembly, so that officials and employees of the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council can study them and provide further feedback in the future.

Beyond fulfilling the duties of elected representatives, these interactions also provide information to help officials and employees better perform their professional duties.
