(Baonghean.vn) -As part of the voter outreach program before the 5th session of the 13th National Assembly, on May 3rd, Ms. Vi Thi Huong, Deputy Director of Tay Nam Hospital and a member of the 13th National Assembly, held voter outreach sessions in Tho Son commune, Anh Son district.

At the meeting with constituents, Ms. Vi Thi Huong informed them about the results of the 4th session and the expected content and program of the 5th session of the 13th National Assembly. The focus was on important issues such as the amended Land Law, maritime and island issues, opinions on amending the 1992 Constitution, and several laws necessary for socio-economic development. The National Assembly devoted considerable time to discussing socio-economic issues, the National Assembly's oversight report, and issues of concern to constituents.

Voters in Tho Son commune expressed their trust in the Party's leadership and highly appreciated the National Assembly's activities in recent times, which have focused on addressing the people's requests. Many issues were raised by Tho Son voters to National Assembly representatives, focusing on the following: Tho Son is the most remote mountainous commune in Anh Son district, inhabited by ethnic minorities, yet it has not been recognized as a particularly disadvantaged commune. Voters hope that the state will conduct a fair assessment in classifying communes; while the new rural development program is a popular initiative, the state needs to prioritize infrastructure investment in remote areas, as mobilizing local resources is very difficult; and the state needs to support localities in rebuilding dilapidated office buildings and addressing the issue of cramped workspaces due to the combination of many departments, which hinders the quality of work of commune officials and civil servants.

Voters express their thoughts and aspirations to their National Assembly representatives.

Voter opinions and suggestions at the village level play a crucial role in building the political system; however, the Constitution does not yet address the functions and roles of the village level in the state apparatus. Many voters expressed their frustration with the illegal and indiscriminate exploitation of mineral resources, requesting that the state rectify this situation, especially regarding the licensing of mineral exploitation, which should be based on the actual situation of the locality. Tho Son commune has over 2,500 hectares of protective forest, of which 200 hectares have been converted to mineral exploitation. However, the conversion of depleted protective forest land to production land is cumbersome and faces many difficulties. Voters in Tho Son hope that the National Assembly and relevant agencies and departments will pay attention to and address the suggestions and requests raised by voters in previous voter consultations.

Ms. Vi Thi Huong acknowledged and addressed the feedback from voters in Tho Son, and the provincial National Assembly delegation will compile and forward it to relevant agencies and departments, and make recommendations to the National Assembly in the near future.
