After the incident, the District Labor Federation, the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs of Thanh Chuong district, along with the Party Committee, authorities, and socio-political organizations of Thanh Khe commune (Thanh Chuong) were present to resolve the incident.

Previously, because January coincided with the Lunar New Year holiday, the company gave each worker an advance of 3,000,000 VND. According to the agreement and contract, the previous month's salary will be paid on the 10th of the following month.

According to records, the cause of the incident stemmed from the company's failure to notify employees of late salaries.

Specifically, after the Giap Thin Lunar New Year holiday, on February 19, 320 workers of the company returned to work as usual. By 1:30 p.m. on February 22, 95% of workersstop workingwith the reason of wanting the company to pay all salary for January 2024.

Sein Together Vinh Vina Limited Liability Company is a company that produces, processes and exports knitted fashion garments to the markets of the US, Europe, Korea and Japan. The company's grassroots union belongs to the Vietnam Textile and Garment Company Union.

This company has just changed leadership on January 1, 2024. Accordingly, the current director is Mr. Lee Young Jin - Korean. After taking office, the company's leadership will continue to maintain business and production activities and give Tet bonuses to workers.

As of February 22, because the company had not yet announced the delay in paying wages, the workerscollective work stoppageto request salary payment. Since the management is new, the workers also want to know if the salary payment regulations will change.

In response to the workers' reaction, the leaders of Sein Together Vinh Vina Limited Liability Company asked the workers to return to work and promised that on February 23, the company would withdraw money to pay all salaries for January 2024... On the morning of February 23, the workers made a number of additional requests in the coming time. Specifically: Increase basic salary; Pay wages by time, not by product as at present; Improve meal regime; Workers can accumulate annual leave days...

The company's leaders completed the withdrawal procedures to pay workers' salaries for the end of January 2024 on February 23. At the same time, they responded to the following recommendations: The increase in regional minimum wages will be implemented from July 1, 2024 according to the regulations of the Vietnamese Government; From March 1, 2024, wages will be paid on time and allowances will be increased for workers.

The company's leaders also said that because the company has just been acquired, it is continuing to upgrade and invest in expanding production. Currently, the company is producing previous orders. In the near future, the company will sign many orders, and will continue to improve the income and living standards of workers.

At the same time, if the workers do not agree to sit down to negotiate the demands, the company will pay all monthly salaries and temporarily close to conduct new recruitment.

With the support and advice of the authorities and local government, late this morning, the parties agreed to let the workers take today and tomorrow (the 15th day of the first lunar month). Early next week, Monday, February 26, the company will reopen for workers to return to work as usual.

In the immediate future, 250 workers who have registered on the zalo of this company's Union will return to work.
