Russian Foreign Ministry representative: “Moscow's patience with Ukraine has limits”
Russian diplomats expect that the United States will not allow Ukraine to carry out new provocations in the Kerch Strait.
Moscow calls on Kiev’s coordinators to refrain from engaging in new provocations in the Kerch Strait and from influencing the current Ukrainian government in this direction, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing on Wednesday.
We hope that the Western authorities in charge of Ukraine will not only not participate in this absolutely insane initiative, but will also do everything possible to convince the ruling regime in Kiev, she added.
Assessing the possibility of a new provocation in the Kerch Strait, Ms. Zakharova stressed that Russia's patience is not limitless. According to the diplomat, there are too many people involved for the consequences of Ukraine's provocations not to be catastrophic.
It should be recalled that on November 25, 2018, three Ukrainian Navy ships crossed the Russian border. Immediately after that, the ships and citizens of the neighboring country on board were detained.
