Vietnamese representative causes a stir when revealing national costume praising the frontline against the epidemic
The national costume that Thuy Tien of Vietnam will perform in the traditional costume competition is inspired by the frontline forces fighting the epidemic. Thuy Tien "swept" social networks as soon as she revealed the national costume.
The "Angel in Blue" that Thuy Tien wears is the next brainchild of designer Tin Thai - the familiar name behind a series of national costumes for beauty queens who have "fought" in international beauty contests before.
Through the outfit, Thuy Tien wishes to express her deep gratitude to the frontline forces against the epidemic as well as the world's medical sector in the fight against the epidemic in recent times.
The costume includes a traditional ao dai, boots nearly 20cm high, boxing gloves, a crown and wings with the medical symbol on the back. At first glance, the ao dai is designed quite traditionally.
However, the special feature of the ao dai lies in the shiny leather material and the silver motifs running along the body of the dress, making it catch the light on stage better. The highlight is the bright red heart and yellow star proudly pinned on the chest.

In addition, Thuy Tien's strong image will be more clearly shown through these special innovations.
The main blue color of the outfit is inspired by the protective clothing of the anti-epidemic force.
Behind is a stylized pair of gold-plated and hand-sculpted snakes wrapped around a vaccine syringe along with wings painted in a metallic ombre effect, creating an iconic image of the medical industry.
These details will help Thuy Tien's performance on stage become more eye-catching and attractive.
With meaningful messages conveyed through each part of the costume, the "angel in blue" is expected to make a strong impression at the national costume competition taking place tonight, November 30.
