The 18th Signal Company helped people put out a house fire.

(Baonghean.vn) - At 10:15 AM on October 21st, a fire, suspected to be caused by an electrical short circuit, broke out on the third floor of the house belonging to Mr. Cao Thanh Son, located at 15 Nguyen Trung Ngan Street, Block 3, Truong Thi Ward, Vinh City.

The burning house was located close to the military base, so the Command of the 18th Signal Company, Staff Department, Provincial Military Command, mobilized all forces in the unit and used fire fighting equipment to quickly arrive at the scene to help extinguish the fire. Thanks to the efforts of the unit's officers and soldiers, the fire was brought under control in just 15 minutes, preventing it from spreading to other floors and neighboring houses.

The 18th Information Division had just completed a long and arduous comprehensive training exercise; however, in this urgent situation, the officers and soldiers of the unit did not hesitate to overcome difficulties and dangers, quickly extinguishing the fire and protecting the lives and property of Mr. Son's family.

Over the years, with great effort and dedication, the 18th Communications Company has achieved high results in the emulation movement; for three consecutive years (2011, 2012, 2013) it was awarded the title of "Unit of Victory".
