5th Congress of Delegates of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 11th, the 5th Congress of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union, for the term 2014-2019, was held in Vinh City. Attending the congress were: Mr. Le Quang Huy – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Le Xuan Dai – Member of the Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Mr. Lo Quang Tu – Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union.

The 5th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghe An Province, for the term 2014-2019, took place under the spirit of "Nghe An Youth: Unity - Creativity - Volunteerism - Innovation". During the past term, the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement in Nghe An province has seen positive development. The role of the Union in expanding the front of unity and gathering of young people has been increasingly affirmed, and its movements have made important contributions to motivating the province's youth to participate in economic, cultural, and social development, and ensuring national defense and security.

During its term, the Provincial Youth Union organized commendations for 175 exemplary young people following Uncle Ho's teachings, 217 exemplary young people from religious groups, 326 outstanding young people from ethnic minorities, and 192 young people excelling in economic activities. Nghe An youth also demonstrated a spirit of pioneering in creative labor, proactively undertaking difficult and new tasks, living beautiful and meaningful lives...

Comrade Le Quang Huy presented the flag of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee to the Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee.

Comrade Le Quang Huy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Comrade Lo Quang Tu - Vice President of the Vietnam Youth Union, presented a certificate of commendation to Comrade Hoang Sy Nga - Nghe Tinh Port for his achievements in the Youth Union movement and Association work.

Awards were presented to outstanding members.

In the new term 2014-2019, with the action slogan "Nghe An youth cultivate pure hearts - sharpen minds - build great ambitions to contribute to building a stronger and more civilized homeland," the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghe An province will continue to build a strong and united organization, widely gathering all strata and groups of young people, promoting patriotism, revolutionary traditions, and the culture of the people of Nghe An, building a generation of young people with courage, talent, enthusiasm, and actively participating in socio-economic development.

The Executive Committee for the 2014-2019 term was introduced at the congress.

At the congress, Comrade Le Quang Huy – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Comrade Lo Quang Tu – Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union presented a commemorative flag to the Executive Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union; and awarded certificates of merit to outstanding individuals in the past term. The congress elected 51 comrades to the new Executive Committee.
