The 5th Congress of Delegates of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 11, in Vinh City, the 5th Congress of the Youth Union of Nghe An province, term 2014 - 2019, took place. Attending the congress were comrades: Le Quang Huy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and comrade Lo Quang Tu - Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union.

The 5th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghe An province, term 2014 - 2019 took place with the spirit of "Nghe An Youth Solidarity - Creativity - Volunteerism - Innovation". During the past term, the work of the Union and the youth movement of Nghe An province had positive developments, the role of the Union in expanding the solidarity front and gathering youth was increasingly affirmed, the movements of the Union contributed significantly to motivating the youth of the province to compete to participate in economic, cultural and social development, ensuring national defense and security.

During the term, the Provincial Youth Union organized the commendation of 175 typical advanced youths following Uncle Ho's teachings, 217 typical religious youths, 326 typical ethnic minority youths and 192 young people who are good at economics. In the new term 2014 - 2019, with the slogan of action "Nghe An Youth nurtures a pure heart - trains a bright mind - builds great ambitions to contribute to building an increasingly rich and civilized homeland", the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghe An province will continue to build a strong, united association, widely gathering all classes and all youth groups, promoting patriotism, revolutionary traditions, and the culture of Nghe people, building a generation of young people with courage, talent, enthusiasm, and actively participating in socio-economic development.

At the congress, Comrade Le Quang Huy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Comrade Lo Quang Tu - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union presented a souvenir flag to the Executive Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union; and awarded certificates of merit to outstanding individuals in the past term. The consultative congress elected 51 comrades to the Executive Committee for the new term.
