Second Congress of the Anh Son District Ornamental Plants Association

(Baonghean.vn) - On November 27th, the Anh Son District Ornamental Plants Association held its second delegate congress for the 2014-2019 term.

During the 2009-2014 term, thanks to the dedicated efforts of officials and members, the ornamental plant movement in Anh Son district developed strongly in both scale and product quality. The organization, from the district level to the grassroots, was strengthened and consolidated, expanding and attracting a large number of members. The number of members has steadily increased; from 25 members in 2009 to 300 today. Many effective economic models have emerged in the district, generating high incomes from ornamental plants and clean, beautiful home gardens, such as the households of Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tai (who crafts silk wood in Hoa Son commune), Mr. Dang Dinh Cong (village 2, Long Son commune), and Mr. Tran Van Bien (village 1, Khai Son commune), earning hundreds of millions of dong each year.

Speaking at the congress, Comrade Le Hong Vinh – Secretary of the District Party Committee – acknowledged the achievements of the district's ornamental plant association members in the past period. To ensure the continued development of the district's ornamental plant movement in line with the potential of the homeland, Comrade Le Hong Vinh requested the district's ornamental plant association to uphold a high sense of responsibility, overcome difficulties, and effectively implement the association's regulations; to effectively implement the resolutions, programs, and activities outlined by the congress. He also urged them to regularly strengthen their organization, improve professional skills, enhance the quality of their activities, and diversify their offerings to contribute to improving the material and spiritual lives of the people and to the construction of new rural areas.

At the congress, delegates unanimously elected 12 members to the Executive Committee of the Anh Son District Ornamental Plants Association, term II, 2014-2019; elected Mr. Nguyen Sy Van as Chairman of the Anh Son District Ornamental Plants Association for term 2014-2019; and unanimously adopted the congress resolution.
