Congress of the Party Committee of the Management Board of the Southeast Nghe An Economic Zone for the term 2020 - 2025

On May 29, the Party Committee of the Management Board of the Southeast Nghe An Economic Zone held the Congress for the 2020-2025 term..Attending the congress were comrade Hoang Van Nhien - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Provincial Agencies.

The Party Committee of the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board has 6 subordinate Party cells with 43 Party members. During the past term, closely following the goals and targets of the Resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels, the Party Committee of the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board led cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers to promote the tradition of solidarity, proactiveness, creativity, overcoming difficulties to well perform political tasks, striving to complete the set goals, creating a new look in the Southeast Economic Zone and industrial parks in the province, contributing to the successful implementation of Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW dated July 30, 2013 of the Politburo.

Many large-scale projects have been attracted and newly licensed, such as: VSIP Industrial Park, Urban Area and Service Project; WHA Industrial Zone-1 Nghe An Industrial Park Project; Hoa Sen Nghe An Steel Plant Project; Vissai Cement Grinding Station and Seaport Project; DKC Petroleum Depot and Seaport; Tri Le MDF Wood Factory Project. Up to now, 231 investment projects have been attracted, including 41 FDI projects with a total registered capital of 582 million USD and 190 domestic projects with a total registered capital of 36,754 billion VND.

There are 135 projects in operation with average annual production and business results in the period of 2015 - 2019, industrial production value reaching 17,242 billion VND, revenue 23,575 billion VND, export value 149 million USD, paying the state budget 1,243 billion VND, creating jobs for more than 17,150 workers.

Essential infrastructure has been gradually invested synchronously and modernly, meeting the needs of attracting investment. Some projects invested by the State budget with capital in the period of 2015-2020 of 1,127 billion VND have been basically completed and put into operation, such as: Road N5, Road D4, traffic roads in Area B, Nam Cam Industrial Park, etc. Continuing to complete projects: Road N2; route No. 2 in Area A, Nam Cam Industrial Park; road to DKC Petroleum Depot; road to Tri Le Industrial Park, Dong Hoi Industrial Park Wastewater Treatment Plant, etc.

Infrastructure of some industrial parks invested by non-budgetary capital is gradually being completed, such as: VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park, Urban Area and Services; WHA Industrial Zone-1 Nghe An Industrial Park. Completed and put into operation wharf No. 5 of Cua Lo port, DKC petroleum port, Vissai cement port. Management of natural resources and environment, management of business activities and labor is strictly implemented.

In addition, the Party Committee always takes care of the work of cadres, the contingent of cadres and party members constantly improves in quality; the discipline and quality of regular activities of the Party cells and the Party Committee have made much progress, in accordance with procedures and regulations. The promotion of studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh has been directed with attention and gradually put into practice, contributing to raising the awareness and sense of responsibility of cadres and party members, maintaining revolutionary moral qualities, and implementing well the Party's guidelines and resolutions, and the State's policies and laws.

Promoting the results achieved in the past term, with the goal of making the Southeast Economic Zone a growth engine of the province, the Congress discussed and agreed to set out specific directions, goals and tasks for the 2020-2025 term and issued an Action Program to successfully implement the Congress Resolution, such as: Completing the adjustment of the master plan and building the Southeast Economic Zone into a key economic zone of the province; completing essential infrastructure works being invested with state budget capital; attracting at least 01 investment project in infrastructure of industrial parks or functional areas in the Economic Zone; Submitting to the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee to issue a Resolution on the development of the Southeast Economic Zone and industrial parks in the province; promoting administrative reform, applying IT, improving the competitiveness index at the department, branch and local levels (DDCI).

Building a united and unified bloc, a team of cadres and party members who are politically steadfast, have pure moral qualities, and have the working capacity to meet the requirements of the task; training, fostering and creating a development environment to have at least 1 comrade qualified to be appointed Deputy Head of the Board from the local human resources; implementing on schedule the Project on rearranging the organizational apparatus approved by the Provincial People's Committee,...

Speaking at the Congress, Standing Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Agencies Hoang Van Nhien acknowledged and highly appreciated the results and achievements of the Party Committee in the past term, and the efforts of the Party Committee have contributed positively to the socio-economic development of the province.

At the same time, comrade Hoang Van Nhien suggested that the Party Committee identify key tasks and breakthroughs, closely follow the directions, goals and tasks of the Party Congress and the upcoming 19th Provincial Party Congress to overcome difficulties and challenges, continue to promote administrative reform, actively foster theoretical and professional training for cadres and party members; improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the apparatus, advise and perform well the assigned political tasks, turn the Southeast Economic Zone into a growth engine of the province, actively contributing to the socio-economic development of the province in the coming term.

With a sense of responsibility and democracy, the Congress elected the Party Executive Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term, consisting of 5 comrades; Comrade Le Tien Tri - Head of the Committee continued to be elected as Party Secretary for the 2020 - 2025 term. The Congress also elected 2 official delegates and 1 alternate delegate to attend the Congress of Party Delegates of the Provincial Agencies Bloc for the 2020 - 2025 term./.
