Party Congress of the Department of Finance for the term 2015 - 2020

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 2nd, the Party Committee of the Nghe An Department of Finance held its Party Congress for the 2015-2020 term. Attending and directing the congress was Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc.

The Party Committee of the Department of Finance has 81 party members, including 76 full members, organized into 9 subordinate branches. During the past term, the Party Committee of the Department of Finance led the unit to successfully complete its political tasks and achieve the goals and targets of the Party Congress Resolution for the 2010-2015 term. Under the leadership of the unit's Party Committee, the budget management and operational work was practical and timely. It proactively advised the Provincial People's Committee on allocating sufficient resources to implement policies, especially in the fields of agriculture, farmers, rural areas, culture and social affairs, attracting investment, ensuring national security and defense, and social welfare. Most of the mechanisms and policies advised by the Department of Finance have been effectively implemented. Tasks such as corporate financial management, capital construction investment financial management, and price management have been emphasized and strengthened.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Hai - Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Department of Finance - presented the report at the congress.

During the past term, three of the unit's leaders were transferred by the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to other units to assume higher positions. The quality of Party organizations has improved; the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party committees and branches, as well as the quality of cadres and Party members, have been enhanced; and the political core role of grassroots Party organizations has been strengthened.

Delegates attending the Congress

At the congress, many opinions were expressed, objectively and comprehensively reviewing the successes, limitations, and shortcomings, while drawing lessons learned from the implementation of the Party Committee's Resolution for the 2010-2015 term; and discussing solutions for implementing the unit's tasks for the 2015-2020 term. These include continuing to improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party committee and branches, and the quality of cadres and Party members. Promoting democracy, unity, and responsibility; leading the agency to successfully complete its political tasks; and improving the quality of advice provided to the Provincial People's Committee.

Comrade Dau Thi Minh Loan, Chief Inspector of the Department of Finance, presented a paper on building a clean and strong Party organization.

The Congress set forth targets such as: annually, the Party Committee of the Department of Finance being recognized as a strong and exemplary Party Committee, striving to achieve the title of "exemplary and strong" for at least two years. The goal is to have 80% of Party members achieving the "good performance" rating annually, and 15% achieving the "excellent performance" rating. The aim is to effectively fulfill the leadership role of the grassroots Party organization over the agency and mass organizations; build a strong agency and a strong sector; and ensure 100% of mass organizations operate strongly and excellently.

Voting to elect the new Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term.

The Congress elected a Party Committee consisting of 11 members and delegates to attend the higher-level Party Congress. Comrade Nguyen Van Hai – Director of the Department of Finance – was re-elected as Secretary of the Party Committee.
