Party Congress of Nghe An Provincial Post Office for the 2020 - 2025 term

This morning (May 7), the Provincial Post Office Party Committee held its 4th Congress for the 2020-2025 term. Attending the congress were comrade Thai Khac Thu - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Business Bloc Party Committee and 112 party members in the entire Party Committee.

Strive to achieve and exceed targets

The Provincial Post Office Party Committee is a grassroots Party Committee directly under the Provincial Business Bloc Party Committee, including the Vinh City Post Office Party Committee and 04 affiliated Party cells with a total of 112 Party members.

The political report presented at the Congress affirmed that over the past 5 years, cadres, party members and workers in the Party Committee of Nghe An Provincial Post Office have strived to overcome difficulties, successfully implemented the Resolution of the Party Congress for the 2015-2020 term, achieved encouraging results, and contributed significantly to the socio-economic development, ensuring national defense, security and social security of the province. Specifically, Nghe An Provincial Post Office has provided public postal services that meet the requirements of the "National Technical Regulations on Public Postal Services" prescribed by the State. Up to now, 423/460 communes, wards and towns have newspapers to read during the day. The output of newspapers and magazines of the Party (central and local) has increased year after year, the rate of safely delivered letters and newspapers has reached 98%.

One of the highlights of the 2015-2020 term is that Nghe An Provincial Post Office has coordinated with departments and branches in the province to deploy, provide and perform well public services such as: Payment of pensions and social insurance benefits, payment of social insurance, payment of benefits for people with meritorious services, payment of environmental services, lump-sum tax collection services, electricity bill collection services, ID card delivery services, issuance and renewal of driver's licenses, passports, collection of voluntary social insurance and health insurance, collection of traffic fines, delivery services of judicial records and coordination with other departments and branches to deploy public administrative delivery services throughout the province and delivery to 63 provinces and cities nationwide.

After 5 years of implementing the Resolution of the Congress for the 2015-2020 term, Nghe An Provincial Post Office has achieved and exceeded the targets set by the Congress: annual growth rate of over 10%; labor productivity of the following year is over 10% higher than the previous year; average income of employees increases from 5 - 10%/year; fully pays the State budget obligations and social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance for employees. In particular, the total revenue in 2015 was only 214 billion VND, but in 2019 it reached 598 billion VND.

The Party Committee has directed the promotion of technical innovation and rationalization in production and business. In the past 5 years, there have been over 600 topics and initiatives, of which nearly 100 were commended by the General Corporation's Scientific Council, put into practice, achieving high efficiency. Every year, 8 emulation movements and initiatives are deployed in production and business activities, in management and administration, typically the Movement to Improve Quality, Postal Delivery, 5S Movement, Model Post Office Movement, Professional Teller, VN POST Creative Initiative Movement... Promoting the 10 Golden Words tradition of the Postal Industry, including the tradition of affection in implementing social security programs for the community, over the past 5 years, Nghe An Post has contributed over 3 billion VND, contributing to ensuring social security in the province.

For 5 years, Nghe An Provincial Post Office has continuously been awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag by the Government; in 2015, it was awarded the Second Class Labor Medal by the President. Every year, it is awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee in many fields such as National Defense and Security, social security, implementation of grassroots democracy regulations....is gradually being recognized as an extension of the government at all levels in Nghe An, making an important contribution to promoting socio-economic development and ensuring social security in the province.

Strive to stay at the top

The Party Congress of Nghe An Provincial Post Office for the 2020-2025 term clearly defines the direction and tasks, which is to closely follow the policies and orientations of the Party and State, the direction of Vietnam Post Corporation and the socio-economic development tasks of the province in the period of 2020 - 2025 to build appropriate business strategies and plans. Effectively exploit the potentials, resources, advantages, facilitation and support of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee, departments, branches, the trust of partners and the solidarity and sense of responsibility of the staff and workers in the whole unit. Promote business development and service in 3 main service groups: Postal delivery, postal finance and media distribution. Expand the business network, taking service quality as the key factor to compete effectively. Continue to invest in innovation and application of modern technology. Continue to innovate strongly and synchronously, improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party Committee, promote the strength of solidarity, democracy, and discipline, and build Nghe An Provincial Post Office to be strong and develop comprehensively.

The general objective is to enhance the capacity and fighting strength of the Party Committee; effectively lead business, exceed the annual plan targets assigned by the Corporation; ensure good service of the Public Postal Service meeting State standards; participate in the implementation of public services assigned by the State; fulfill budget obligations to the State; ensure jobs, life and policies for workers; maintain the title of exemplary Party Committee; organizations and unions to excellently complete their tasks; strive to build Nghe An Provincial Post Office into one of the leading strong units of Vietnam Post Corporation.

In the 2020 - 2025 term, the Provincial Post Office Party Committee sets a target of striving for annual revenue growth of 10% or more, striving for the annual revenue and expenditure difference to reach 100% of the plan assigned by the Corporation; paying annual budget obligations to reach 100% of the assigned plan. Ensuring that 100% of employees have stable jobs, with an average income higher each year than the previous year; striving for an average income of 12 - 17 million VND/person/month.

To achieve the goals and directions of the 2020 - 2025 term, delegates attending the congress also discussed and agreed on key solutions such as continuing to innovate business models, management and organization models and customer-oriented service structures; diversifying products and services; improving investment efficiency; increasing revenue, reducing costs; sustainable growth and development. Continuously building trust and prestige of the industry and unit with customers and people, actively promoting the image and brand of Vietnam POST in the market.
