VNPT Nghe An Party Congress for the 2015-2020 term

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of June 7th, in Vinh City, the Party Committee of the Nghe An Telecommunications Office held its 3rd Congress for the 2015-2020 term. Attending and directing the congress was Comrade Thai Khac Thu, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Enterprise Bloc.

Nghe An Telecommunications is a key enterprise in providing telecommunications and information technology services in the province. During the 2010-2015 term, the Party Committee successfully led the unit in restructuring and reforming the enterprise, achieving outstanding results in production and business. The unit maintained its position as a leading state-owned enterprise in the province in providing telecommunications and information technology services with a modern, synchronized, and widespread network.

The Presidium presides over the Congress.

The company's annual production and business results consistently show high growth rates. Specifically, its market share in fixed-line telephones reached 90%; Internet and ADSL: 80%; and mobile: 33%. All key targets set by the 2nd Congress were met and exceeded significantly, such as an annual revenue growth of 11% during the 2013-2015 period; ensuring employment with decent incomes for 100% of its workforce; and being one of the top 15 enterprises contributing the province's budget.

Comrade Tran Thanh Thuy, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of VNPT, presented the political report.

The Congress focused on discussing and analyzing the limitations, shortcomings, causes, and lessons learned during the 2010-2015 term, and unanimously agreed on the goals, directions, tasks, and solutions for the 2015-2020 term. Accordingly, the Party Committee will focus on leading Nghe An Telecommunications to exploit all potential and resources, continue to innovate production and business activities, build a modern and synchronized telecommunications and information technology network, ensuring production and business efficiency and serving political tasks.

Delegates attending the congress focused on listening and contributing ideas to the congress regarding the goals, directions, and solutions for the 2015-2020 term.

The Congress elected 13 comrades to the Executive Committee for the 2015-2020 term, and elected 5 comrades to attend the Provincial Enterprise Bloc Party Congress.
