Congress of the Department of Tourism Party Cell for the 2020-2025 term
(Baonghean.vn) - The Party Congress of the Department of Tourism sets out tasks and directions to effectively implement the Resolution of the Party Congress at all levels in the State management of tourism in the area, bringing tourism to develop quickly and sustainably.
On the afternoon of March 5, the Party Cell of the Department of Tourism under the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies held its second congress for the 2020-2025 term. This is the Party Cell chosen by the Provincial Agencies Party Committee to hold the first congress of the Party Committee.

Do a good job of consulting
The Department of Tourism Party Cell has 28 party members belonging to the Department of Tourism and the Tourism Promotion Information Center. Since its establishment (in 2017), the Party Cell has focused on leading cadres, party members, civil servants, and public employees of departments and units under the Department to effectively implement the assigned tasks and plans.

Notably, the leader performed well the role of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Tourism Development Steering Committee. Advised the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Tourism to sign many cooperation programs for tourism development.
The leaders actively promoted attracting investment in developing infrastructure and facilities for tourism. In particular, they proactively advised and proposed Nghe An sub-projects to participate in the Tourism Infrastructure Development Project, supporting comprehensive growth in the Greater Mekong Sub-region Phase 2, funded by ADB.

At the same time, the Party Cell has led the promotion and diversification of tourism promotion and cooperation activities with localities and domestic and foreign tourism service corporations.
In addition, the Department has also signed programs and plans to coordinate with departments and branches in the province; coordinated to organize the Cua Lo Tourism Festival, and successfully organized the International Tourism Food Festival in Nghe An.
At the same time, the Party Cell regularly pays attention to leading the development of the agency's administrative reform plan. Implementing a reduction of 20-30% of the time to handle administrative procedures under its authority. Promoting the application of information technology associated with strengthening administrative discipline; innovating the working style and manner of cadres, civil servants, etc.

Speaking at the congress, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Agencies Hoang Van Nhien assessed that as a newly established unit in the past 3 years, the Department of Tourism has many innovations and creativity, advising the province on policies and strategies for tourism development.

Deploying the tasks for the 2020 - 2025 term, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc suggested that in the coming time, the Party Cell needs to promote solidarity, set an example from the working position of each leader to cadres, civil servants and public employees; be dedicated, innovative, creative and effective in performing assigned political tasks.

The Congress elected a new Party Committee of 5 members. Comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong - Director of the Department of Tourism was elected to hold the position of Party Cell Secretary; Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh An - Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism was elected to hold the position of Deputy Party Cell Secretary. The Congress also elected a delegation to attend the Party Congress of the Provincial Agencies Bloc for the 2020 - 2025 term.

The Congress set out the direction, tasks and solutions for implementation in the 2020-2025 term. In particular, advising the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee to issue a Resolution on a number of policies for community tourism development in the 2021-2025 period and the strategy for developing Nghe An tourism to 2030, with a vision to 2035.
Effectively implement inter-regional tourism development cooperation programs; strive for the entire industry to complete the target of welcoming and serving 6.0-6.3 million tourists with accommodation by 2025, including 300,000 international tourists, with tourism revenue reaching 11,000 billion VND...
