(Baonghean.vn) - On March 23, the Dien Thanh Commune Party Committee held the 23rd Party Congress for the 2015-2020 term. This is the first grassroots Party Committee selected by the Dien Chau District Party Committee to hold a model congress in the district.

Attending the congress were comrades Nguyen Van Hong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee; Duong Quoc Tuan - Head of the Party Member Department of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee; on the district side, there were comrade Tran Van Cuong - Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council, comrades in the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, and 179 delegates representing party members in the entire Dien Thanh commune.

During the past term, thanks to the high solidarity and unity of the Party Executive Committee, the flexible management of the government and especially the efforts of all classes of people, the economic situation remained stable and developed, people's lives were improved, the new rural appearance became increasingly clear; culture and society made much progress; national defense and security were ensured; Party building, government building and the political system became increasingly strong.

Specifically, in terms of economy, the total production value at the beginning of the term (2010) was nearly 139 billion VND, in 2015 it reached nearly 389 million VND, reaching the congress target; the average income per capita in 2010 was 12.35 million VND, now it has reached 33.1 million VND, reaching the congress target; the proportion of industry, construction and services increased, the proportion of agriculture decreased. The average growth rate was 19.8%, 2.8 times higher than the congress target...

Besides, the congress also seriously looked at the unachieved results to evaluate and draw lessons such as land consolidation and structural transformation that were not commensurate with potential and uneven among hamlets...
