Congress of Nghe An Association for Promotion of Education, term 2021-2026

Term 2016 - 2021, organizational systemAssociation for Promotion of Educationhas developed and maintained its activities in almost all residential areas; from province to district, commune, village, hamlet, block, commune; agencies, units; clans, households; with a large number of members of more than 570,000 members, accounting for 20.78% of the population in the whole province.

In recent years, the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education has also closely followed, directed, and well organized emulation movements to promote education with many forms and rich, creative contents, such as: Spring Writing, Studying Bell, Garden, Fish Pond, Chicken for Promotion of Education, Piggy Bank for Promotion of Education, Building learning models.

The mobilization of the Education Promotion Fund received support from many organizations and individuals, thanks to which, the total amount of Education Promotion Fund mobilized by all levels of the association during the period of 2016 - 2021 was over 369.8 billion VND and awarded scholarships to over 1 million students in the whole province.

This emulation movement to encourage learning has brought about practical results and had a strong impact on the work of building the association and developing its members. At the same time, it has made a positive contribution to the cause of education and training, and the socio-economic development of the province.

At the congress, Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education Le Manh Hung affirmed: The thousand-year-old tradition of studiousness of Nghe An has built the beautiful tradition of "love of learning", "love of working", "love of creativity" of Nghe An people through the ages and is still preserved and developed better and better.

In addition, the Vice President of the Central Association also acknowledged the province's education promotion work: In the past 5 years, along with the development of the country, Nghe An has achieved many proud achievements. In particular, the province's education and training career has developed and recorded important milestones, always standing at the top of the country. The province's education promotion, talent promotion, and building a learning society have made significant contributions to that success.

Speaking at the congress, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long acknowledged the efforts, attempts and outstanding achievements that the Association for Promotion of Education at all levels has achieved in the past 5 years.

However, besides the positive changes, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also pointed out some limitations such as the movement has not yet developed evenly, and some Party committees and authorities have not really paid due attention.

In the coming term, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that it is necessary to continue to more strongly implement emulation movements to encourage learning in both breadth and depth, especially, strongly transfer this movement to mountainous districts, remote areas and in administrative and public service units; Promote emulation movements to encourage learning, develop human resources and talents for the country and the province.

Particularly at this time, in the complicated situation of the Covid-19 pandemic, affecting and disrupting all aspects of life, economy and society, it is necessary to pay attention to mobilizing the establishment of the Scholarship Fund at all levels of the association to provide scholarships and rewards for students in difficult circumstances, overcoming difficulties to study well, and rewarding excellent students in cultural studies, careers and scientific research.

At the congress, the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee presented a banner with the words "Nghe An Provincial Association for Promotion of Education: Solidarity, Responsibility, Creativity, Cooperation, Development". The Central Association for Promotion of Education presented the Emulation Flag on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the association's establishment, period 1996 - 2021; Emulation Flag for the period 2016 - 2021.

Many collectives and individuals were also awarded Certificates of Merit by the Central Government, the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

The congress also elected the Executive Committee of the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Education, term V, 2021 - 2026, with 47 delegates. Comrade Nguyen Thanh Hien - former member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation was honored by the congress and elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Education.

Comrades Thai Van Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Director of the Department of Education and Training, Nguyen Huy Cuong - former Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade were elected as Vice Presidents of the association.
