Congress of Nghe An Ornamental Plants Association, term 2012-2017
(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, June 29, Nghe An Ornamental Plants Association held its second congress for the 2012-2017 term. Attending were comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of several provincial departments and branches.
Implementing the Resolution of the 4th National Congress of Ornamental Plants (APO) and the Resolution of the 1st Provincial Congress of Ornamental Plants Association, over the past 5 years, the ornamental plant movement in our province has had positive changes.
Up to now, the whole province has over 4,000 members operating in 200 branches of 104 SVC associations at commune, ward and town levels; over 400 hectares of SVC, there are 40 companies, garden houses, 5 SVC craft villages, 69 driftwood processing establishments, 35 rockery establishments, 109 pot production establishments, 149 flower growing households... creating jobs for over 3,000 workers, contributing tens of billions of VND to the state budget. Many families in Quynh Luu, Dien Chau, Vinh City have an income of 1 - 2 billion VND/year from SVC production and business services.

SVC production and business activities in our province are becoming an ecological economic sector with high economic value, contributing to the restructuring of the agricultural and rural economy.
In the past 5 years, 104 outstanding units and individuals have been awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association, and the Provincial Association.
In the coming term, Nghe An SVC Association will closely follow the socio-economic development goals of each locality, gradually develop SVC into a high-value ecological economic sector, contributing to building cultural life in residential areas, building new rural areas; develop SVC associated with protecting the ecological environment, promote the SVC potential of the province, honor artisans and typical units.
