First Congress of the Ornamental Plants Association of Hoang Mai Town

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 27th, the Hoang Mai Town Ornamental Plants Association held its first congress for the 2014-2019 term. Attending the event were Mr. Doan Hong Vu, Provincial Party Committee member and Secretary of the Town Party Committee, other town leaders, and a large number of association members and ornamental plant enthusiasts from throughout Hoang Mai town.

Overview of the congress

Hoang Mai town currently has 6 branches and 1 art bonsai club with 172 members participating in the movement to build and develop the town's ornamental plant industry. Over the past time, the association has carried out many effective activities, producing thousands of ornamental plant works with unique artistic value and high economic value. Notable examples include the Quynh Thien, Quynh Lien, Mai Hung, and Quynh Vinh branches. The establishment of the Hoang Mai Town Ornamental Plant Association will create favorable conditions for ornamental plant enthusiasts to have a centralized place to practice their hobby. The association's ornamental plant activities will become more organized, creating many unique works of art, contributing to socio-economic development, and increasing people's income. At the same time, it will contribute to improving the quality of life, ensuring a green, clean, and beautiful environment, creating a civilized urban landscape and workplace, making people more friendly and closer to nature, and contributing to combating climate change.

The congress elected 14 comrades to the Executive Committee of the Hoang Mai Town Ornamental Plants Association for the term 2014 – 2019.

On this occasion, 17 individuals were awarded commemorative medals from the Central Association of Ornamental Plants of Vietnam and commendations from the Nghe An Provincial Association of Ornamental Plants.

Within the framework of this congress program, the organizing committee exhibited some typical ornamental plant works to introduce to ornamental plant enthusiasts in Hoang Mai town. These are works created with dedication by members, who put a lot of effort into shaping, bending branches, and meticulously pruning them into unique and exquisite pieces. The exhibition also provided an opportunity for ornamental plant enthusiasts to share, interact, and exchange experiences in this elegant hobby that also brings in high income.
