The Patriotic Emulation Congress of Nghe An province for the period 2015 - 2020 was a great success.

On the morning of August 7, Nghe An province organized the Patriotic Emulation Congress for the period 2015-2020. Comrade Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President, First Vice President of the Central Emulation and Reward Council attended the congress. Regarding the leadership of Military Region IV, there was Major General Ha Tan Tien - Deputy Commander of Military Region IV; representatives of the leaders of the provinces in the emulation cluster of the North Central provinces.

Attending Nghe An province were comrades: Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Emulation and Reward Council; Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors; leaders of districts, cities and towns in the province; former leaders of the province; revolutionary veterans, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers.

The congress was attended by more than 520 delegates, including 188 delegates who were heroes of the armed forces, heroes of labor in the renovation period, national emulation fighters, and advanced models in various fields honored and selected by the Patriotic Emulation Congresses at all levels and in all sectors. Exciting and effective emulation movements

Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung - Chairman of the Provincial Emulation and Reward Council emphasized: Imbued with Uncle Ho's teachings "Emulation and rewards are the driving force for development and an important measure to build new people", in the past 5 years, the patriotic emulation movement in the whole province has had many positive changes, with more and more typical advanced examples, many good people and good deeds appearing.

The Patriotic Emulation Congress of Nghe An province for the period 2015 - 2020 has the task of evaluating the results achieved in the patriotic emulation movement over the past 5 years as well as analyzing the causes of inadequacies, shortcomings and limitations; praising, honoring and rewarding collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements and setting out the directions and tasks of emulation and reward work in the period 2020 - 2025, contributing to promoting the cause of economic and social development and ensuring national defense and security in Nghe An province.

Seriously implement Directive No. 34 of the Politburo on continuing to innovate emulation and reward work; create strong motivation to promote the cause of innovation in the Soviet homeland, the homeland of beloved President Ho Chi Minh, contribute with the entire Party, people and army to build our country towards the goal of a rich people, strong country, equality, democracy and civilization.

The report summarizing the patriotic emulation movement and commendation work in the period of 2015 - 2020; directions and tasks for the period of 2020 - 2025 presented by the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh at the Congress affirmed: Patriotic emulation movements have been launched and deployed comprehensively and widely in all areas of social life, contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic development goals and tasks, strengthening national defense and security, building the Party, government, the Front and organizations increasingly strong.

Notably, the results of emulation movements in the field of economic development have promoted the province's economy to develop quite comprehensively and achieved many important results.

The average growth rate of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in the period 2016 - 2020 is estimated at 7.84%, GRDP per capita by the end of 2020 is estimated at 44.34 million VND. The economic structure continues to shift towards reducing the proportion of agriculture (from 26.36% to about 22.42%), increasing the proportion of industry, construction and services (from 73.64% to about 77.58%).

Annual budget revenue has always met and exceeded the assigned estimate; in 2020, the estimated budget revenue reached over 17,500 billion VND, about 1.7 times higher than in 2015. Total social investment capital in the 2016 - 2020 period is estimated at over 314,000 billion VND, 1.74 times higher than in the 2011 - 2015 period.

Emulation movements in the cultural and social fields have been widely deployed. Emulation movements in the fields of national defense, security and social order and safety have contributed to building a solid national defense posture associated with a people's security posture and a solid national border posture; closely combining socio-economic development with strengthening national defense, security and foreign affairs.

Promoting the spirit of solidarity and strength of the entire political system, all levels, sectors, agencies, units and enterprises have actively participated in the emulation movement "Nghe An joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind", creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere in the whole province, contributing to the successful implementation of the Party and State's poverty reduction policies and programs.

The emulation movements "Nghe An enterprises integrate and develop", "Join hands to build new rural areas", "Nghe An officials, civil servants and public employees compete to practice office culture"; The emulation movements in the Front and Unions have been effectively implemented.

Emulation movements in Party building work have been implemented practically and effectively; typical movements include "Good advice, good direction", "Skillful mass mobilization", "Nghe An follows Uncle Ho's advice"... Continue to promote the emulation movement "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style".

Over the past 5 years, many groups and individuals have strived and competed to achieve many outstanding achievements and received awards from all levels. The Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee have directed branches, localities, agencies and units to effectively promote the construction and replication of advanced typical models.

At the same time, commend and reward collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements and set out directions and tasks for emulation and reward work in the period of 2020 - 2025, contributing to promoting the cause of socio-economic development and national defense - security in Nghe An province in a sustainable manner.

Awakening the desire to rise

Speaking at the Congress, Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh praised and acknowledged the achievements and efforts of the Party Committee, government and people of Nghe An province over the past five years, promoting the revolutionary tradition of the Soviet homeland and doing well in emulation and reward work.

Agreeing with the directions, goals and 6 main tasks, 10 key solutions as the directions in the Congress report, to overcome the limitations in emulation and commendation, bring the emulation movement and commendation work to a new height, contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic development goals and tasks for the period 2020 - 2025, building Nghe An province into the center of the North Central region, Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh suggested: In the coming time, Nghe An needs to continue to promote the work of building a clean and strong Party and political system; promote the revolutionary tradition, arouse the will to be self-reliant and the desire to rise up; promote the application and development of science, technology and innovation, aiming to bring Nghe An to develop rapidly and sustainably in terms of socio-economy, national defense and security; strive by 2025, Nghe An will become a province with a fairly developed level in the North Central region.

The Congress approved the list of 18 delegates to attend the 10th National Patriotic Emulation Congress.

At the Congress, Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh presented the Government's Emulation Flag to Nghe An province for completing its tasks and leading the national emulation movement in 2019.
