Grand requiem for heroic martyrs at Vietnam - Laos International Cemetery
(Baonghean.vn) -On the evening of July 22, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Nghe An province held a grand requiem mass for heroic martyrs at the Vietnam - Laos International Cemetery on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day.

The Vietnam - Laos International Cemetery is where more than 11,000 soldiers, volunteers, and experts who fought on the Lao battlefield rest.
At the memorial service, thousands of candles, thousands of flowers, thousands of incense sticks were offered by Buddhists and people everywhere to express their gratitude to the heroic martyrs, demonstrating the Vietnamese people's morality of "remembering the source of water when drinking water". Also here, delegates performed the incense offering ceremony, paying respect to the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh, the heroes and martyrs; commemorating and praying for the souls of the soldiers who died for the independence and freedom of the nation to be liberated...

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his deep gratitude for the dedication and sacrifice of the heroic martyrs for the noble cause of national and international liberation. He vowed before the souls of the martyrs, the Party Committee, government and people of Nghe An will pay attention to and implement well the policies for wounded soldiers, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, families of martyrs and families with meritorious services to the revolution./.
