Taiwan will broadcast announcements in Vietnamese at train stations.
The Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA) has just announced that from April, it will add Vietnamese language to foreign language announcements for passengers at train stations.
Specifically, in addition to Chinese and English, the announcement system at train stations in Taiwan will use Vietnamese, Indonesian and Thai languages, CNA news agency reported on the evening of March 26.

Initially, the use of three additional Southeast Asian languages will be trialed at nine train stations in Taipei, Banqiao District of New Taipei City, Taoyuan, Zhongli, Taichung, Changhua, Tainan, Kaohsiung and Pingtung.
Opposition Kuomintang lawmaker Lin Li-chen was the one who invited new immigrants from Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand to record messages for the TRA.
Ms. Lam said adding announcements in Southeast Asian languages will facilitate the travel of tourists from the region and those working in Taiwan.
According to TRA, announcements in Vietnamese, Indonesian and Thai will be broadcast 10 minutes before train departure and each broadcast will last 2 minutes./.
