British Ambassador to Vietnam sends condolences over 39 deaths in Essex

On behalf of the UK, Ambassador Gareth Ward sent his deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those who have died.

On the evening of November 7, the Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Vietnam, Mr. Gareth Ward, sent his condolences to the families and relatives of the victims in the discovery of 39 bodies in a container truck in Essex county.

Mr. GarethWard said that Essex Police and the UK's Royal Coroner's Office have just confirmed that all 39 victims in the Essex tragedy were Vietnamese. According to the Ambassador, each victim has a family and comes from a community in Vietnam, so this is a sad incident for all of us.

On behalf of the UK, Ambassador Gareth Ward expressed his deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those who have died. According to Ambassador Ward, the next step is to ensure that the victims are returned to their final resting place as soon as possible.

Earlier the same day, British authorities confirmed that all 39 victims were Vietnamese, from 6 provinces including Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Quang Binh and Thua Thien-Hue. Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc sent his condolences to the families of the victims in the above incident./.
