Korean Ambassador visits and works in Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - Within the framework of the program to attend the meeting with investors in the Spring of Binh Than, on the morning of February 21, a delegation from the Korean Embassy visited and worked in Nghe An province.

The delegation of the Korean Embassy included: Mr. Jun Dae Joo - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Vietnam; Mr. Choi Woo Hyuk - Commercial Counselor. Attending the meeting were Mr. Tran Xuan Ha - Deputy Minister of Finance and the delegation; representatives of POSCO ENERGY Group.

Working with the delegation, on the side of Nghe An province, there was comrade Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of relevant departments and branches.

Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien welcomed the Ambassador to attend the meeting with investors in the Spring of Binh Than 2016, and reported to the delegation some of the economic and social development situation in 2015 of Nghe An province.

He believes that the presence of the Ambassador and the delegation will contribute to the success of this year's Nghe An Investor Meeting Conference.

Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien affirmed that the Nghe An - Korea relationship has really gone into depth, so there are more and more projects of Korean investors coming to Nghe An. At the same time, he hoped that at this meeting, in addition to 15 FDI ​​projects from Korea that have been and are being implemented in Nghe An, the Ambassador will continue to introduce more Korean enterprises and investors to survey and learn about the possibility of investment cooperation in Nghe An.

The Vice President also hopes that the Ambassador will pay attention, help and support Nghe An province in many other fields to contribute to socio-economic development.

Mr. Jun Dae Joo - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Vietnam spoke at the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, the Ambassador said that in 2015, the total import-export turnover of Korea to Vietnam was 37.2 billion USD. The Ambassador reviewed a number of events demonstrating the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Korea. One of the projects that brought clear results for the investment cooperation between the two sides was the Vietnam - Korea Technical College; in addition, for other ODA projects, the Ambassador also committed to promoting the Korean Government to quickly implement them.

The Ambassador hopes that Nghe An province will pay more attention to POSCO ENERGY's investment projects so that this group can quickly implement projects in Nghe An province. POSCO ENERGY has invested in Vietnam since 1992 and is a prestigious group, so the Ambassador affirmed that POSCO ENERGY will invest effectively in the province. The Ambassador hopes that in the coming time, the cooperative relationship in many fields between Korea and Nghe An will develop increasingly well.

Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien thanked the Ambassador and Korean investors for their good feelings in Nghe An, believing that Korean investment projects in Nghe An, with the highlight being POSCO investors, would be successful.ENERGY will be successful and grow.
