There are many organizations in the world that implement the Migrant Information Office model. In Vietnam, there are two United Nations organizations that support the government in implementing this model: the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM). In which, IOM supports the establishment of Migrant Information Offices in Hanoi and Nghe An.
Nghe An Migrant Information Office has been in operation since April 2018, under the Employment Support Center (Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs), within the project "Protecting, Supporting and Enhancing the Capacity and Resilience of Migrants" implemented by IOM in coordination with the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.
Up to now, Nghe An Immigration Information Office has provided consultation and information support on policies, laws, procedures, and conditions before wanting to migrate abroad for 1,100 people.

In recent times, the United States has made efforts to protect migrants in Vietnam in general and in Nghe An in particular. The US Department of State's Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration has worked in Vietnam to protect migrants through programs to support the development of international migration policies, including the establishment of a Migration Information Office in Nghe An to support vulnerable migrants.
The Ambassador assessed that the operation of the Nghe An Migration Information Office to provide legal migration procedures, share the consequences of illegal migration, and organize vocational training courses ensures that Vietnamese citizens migrate safely and successfully when they choose to live abroad.
