"Regarding the withdrawal of US troops, there were such statements, but so far we have not seen the beginning of this operation," said Jordanian Boris Bolotin.
At the same time, he noted that in the event of a US withdrawal, coordination between the Russian Federation and Jordan will continue.
"Of course, we have a number of tools to coordinate with our Jordanian colleagues, we exchange views with each other and coordinate positions with the Jordanian side," the ambassador stressed.
The armed conflict in Syria has been ongoing since 2011. The United States and its allies have been conducting operations against the Islamic State terrorist group in Iraq and Syria since 2014. In Syria, the United States operates without the consent and permission of the Syrian government. Syria considers this an occupation. At the end of last year, the United States announced its withdrawal from Syria.
