Mr. Ngo Duc Manh actively supports the development of cooperation between localities of the two countries. In his opinion, it is very important to improve the overall Vietnam-Russia cooperation relationship. In an interview with Sputnik-Vietnam, the Ambassador noted:
All regions of Russia contribute to the socio-economic development of the country, to cooperation with Vietnam. Many localities cooperate and establish sister cities with provinces and cities of Vietnam. In many regions, there are Vietnamese communities. In some regions, local leaders want to discuss specific issues with the Vietnamese ambassador. Therefore, in my opinion, it is necessary to learn more about the regions of Russia, to clarify their strengths, which is very useful for the comprehensive strategic partnership between our two countries.
In 2018, I visited about a dozen regions. I visited St Petersburg alone four times. After all, this is the northern capital of Russia, which is sister to Ho Chi Minh City. This year marks the 95th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's first visit to Russia on a flagship, arriving in St. Petersburg.

"I visited Kazan, Ufa, Kaluga, Krasnodar, Tula, as well as the Ulyanovsk region twinned with Nghe An province - the birthplace of President Ho Chi Minh"- Ambassador Ngo Duc Manh said and emphasized:
"Everywhere local leaders received me very warmly, expressing sincere interest in developing cooperation with Vietnam and different regions of our country. They introduced in detail the regions, what the regions could do to strengthen bilateral partnerships, and what they wanted to receive from Vietnam."

Vietnamese Ambassador - distinguished guest received warm welcome in Russian regions |
During my visits to different regions of Russia, I focused on the life of the Vietnamese community. Today, Vietnamese people live almost everywhere in Russia. I was interested in their life, in the issues that they wanted to discuss with the local authorities. For example, the organization of Vietnamese factories, increasing the quota for migrant workers from Vietnam. I believe that Vietnamese communities are an important bridge in cooperation between regions.
I plan to continue to get acquainted with the regions of the Russian Federation" - Ambassador Ngo Duc Manh shared.
