In the 9th minute, Phil Jones headed the ball into Swansea's crossbar after a free kick from the left wing by Juan Mata.

In the 45th minute, MU had another shot that hit the crossbar, but this time, they were luckier. Starting from a corner kick on the left wing, Pogba jumped high to head the ball, the ball hit the crossbar and bounced out, and Eric Bailly rushed in to score the opening goal for MU. This was the Ivorian defender's first goal for the Old Trafford team.
