After Tet, the Spring Festival season begins. In order to ensure security, order and traffic safety during this time, Nghe An Police has closely coordinated with all levels and sectors to synchronously deploy plans at historical sites, scenic spots and spiritual cultural sites, creating favorable conditions for people and tourists to participate in the festival safely and orderly.

Ensure security and order

Con Temple, located on Diec hill, near Lach Con estuary in Phuong Can village, Quynh Phuong ward, Hoang Mai town, is known as one of the most sacred temples in Nghe An, with the song "First Con, second Qua, third Bach Ma, fourth Chieu Trung".

Since the first day of Tet, the temple has welcomed tens of thousands of visitors to visit and worship. Faced with the increase in the number of visitors and potential security and order risks, Hoang Mai Town Police have closely coordinated with the National Historical and Cultural Relic Management Board of Con Temple to deploy plans to ensure safety and maintain order in the area.

Thanks to close coordination and proactive preparation, pilgrims and visitors to Con Temple are guaranteed safety and convenience.

The authorities not only actively propagate and mobilize people and tourists to comply with regulations on fire prevention and fighting, but also closely monitor the implementation of safety in the use of electricity, burning incense and burning votive paper.

Many solutions to maintain order, prevent chaos, jostling, and pushing were promptly implemented; negative behaviors such as theft, gambling, and superstition were also strictly controlled. In particular, the situation of begging in the area was thoroughly and resolutely handled.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Sau - a tourist from Hanoi said: "I feel very satisfied when coming to Con Temple. Although the number of tourists is very large, the organization and security here is very good. The authorities are always on duty, reminding tourists to comply with the regulations, this not only helps ensure safety for everyone but also creates a solemn and civilized atmosphere here".

The Mai King Temple Festival in Nam Dan District in 2025, taking place for 3 days, from February 10 to 12 (ie January 13 to 15 of the lunar calendar), has also left many impressions right from the opening day. The rich and unique activities of the festival not only meet the spiritual and cultural needs but also create opportunities for people and tourists from all over to experience the traditional values of the nation. This year, the festival is especially outstanding with activities imbued with national identity, demonstrating the spirit of martial arts and solidarity, such as boat racing, wrestling, chess, folk games and volleyball, attracting a large number of people to participate.

It is worth noting that despite the large number of tourists flocking to the festival, with thousands of people participating at the same time, security and order were still well maintained. According to Nam Dan District Police, realizing that the number of tourists would increase during the early spring, the District Police mobilized forces from communes, towns and neighboring areas to deploy security plans, set up checkpoints and direct traffic, ensuring order and traffic safety.

In addition, the District Police also closely coordinate with the Management Board of the King Mai Temple Relic Site, conduct regular patrols and remind visitors to be vigilant and protect their personal property.

Thanks to these measures, security and order at the festival are maintained, contributing to creating a joyful and safe atmosphere for visitors. At the same time, services and shops at the festival are also strictly controlled, ensuring quality and safety for everyone.

According to statistics, in 2025, the whole province will organize 26 festivals, of which 21 festivals take place in Spring (from January to March of the lunar calendar), the rest are held from April to October of the lunar calendar.

Strengthen traffic safety control

In the context of increased travel demand after the Lunar New Year, especially when people return to work and participate in festival and tourism activities, ensuring security, order and traffic safety becomes even more important. To cope with this situation, the Traffic Police force has increased patrols, control and handling of traffic violations, especially on key routes.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Nam Hong - Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Police, said: "After Tet, people's travel needs increased, leading to potential risks of traffic jams and accidents. Therefore, we have focused on coordinating traffic at hot spots, ensuring that congestion does not occur. One of the important goals is to minimize traffic accidents, especially accidents involving passenger cars. To do this, we require bus operators to sign a commitment to strictly comply with regulations, and at the same time, coordinate with local police to inspect and handle violations such as carrying more people than prescribed, speeding violations...".

To improve the effectiveness of ensuring traffic safety and order in 2025, the Traffic Police force will continue to promote propaganda and remind traffic participants of new regulations in the law and decrees. One of the important changes is Decree 168/CP, which stipulates a sharp increase in fines for serious violations, especially those that endanger traffic participants and lead to accidents. Lieutenant Colonel Hong said: "Propaganda of new regulations helps raise people's awareness of complying with traffic laws, contributing to reducing accidents and forming the habit of driving according to the law."

Along with propaganda work, the Traffic Police also continue to mobilize and arrange forces and vehicles to organize patrols, control, and strictly handle violations that directly cause traffic accidents, especially violations of alcohol concentration, speeding, etc. The Traffic Police will deploy working groups to regularly inspect national and provincial highways, especially at noon, evening, on holidays, and on routes with high traffic volume.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Nam Hong also affirmed that coordination between teams, traffic police stations and local police will continue to be strongly implemented to inspect and handle violations related to alcohol concentration, speed and other violations.

With the efforts of Nghe An Police force in ensuring security, order and traffic safety, it can be clearly seen that these efforts will contribute significantly to building the image of Nghe An tourism.

By ensuring the safety of tourists, from patrolling and controlling traffic to promptly handling violations, Nghe An Police not only helps ensure a safe environment, but also creates trust in tourists. This not only improves the quality of the tourist experience but also helps promote Nghe An as a safe and friendly destination.
