Ensuring stable and safe power supply during the rainy and stormy season
(Baonghean) - Mr. Nguyen Thuong Hien - Deputy Director of the Provincial Electricity Company answered an interview with Nghe An Newspaper.
PV:The rainy and stormy season is coming. What has Nghe An Electricity Company done to limit power grid incidents and unfortunate electrical accidents that may occur, sir?
Mr. Nguyen Thuong Hien:To prevent and stop electrical accidents, especially during the rainy and stormy season, Nghe An Electricity Company has implemented some basic contents as follows: Continuously propagating electrical safety on mass media, distributing leaflets and posting electrical accident prevention measures at convenient locations and positions for people to easily see...
On the other hand, through propaganda work to equip individuals with some basic knowledge and skills to protect themselves, prevent accidents and protect property. The Company also focuses on promoting and widely propagating electrical safety in residential areas in remote areas, areas newly receiving national electricity; organizing careful review and inspection of power grids and power stations (checking during the day, checking at night) to detect problems on the power grid, risks causing unsafety on the power grid, at the same time organizing timely remedies and reinforcement to ensure that the high-voltage and low-voltage power grids always operate safely, stably and continuously. Especially the newly received rural low-voltage power grid.

Repair the power grid before the storm season. |
For problems that cannot be resolved in a short time, such as: The power grid has been in operation for many years and does not meet technical standards because the company has just taken over the power grid from the locality for management; houses; constructions that violate the power grid protection corridor... The company notifies individuals, people, and units to know and prevent; Notifies local authorities and related units to coordinate in overcoming these problems as soon as possible to ensure safety for people and units.
In addition, the company coordinates with the local government and Youth Union to organize power grid corridor clearance; organize PCTT&TKCN drills with hypothetical situations that often occur during the rainy and stormy season; prepare sufficient materials, equipment, means of transport, and communication.
To be proactive and flexible in handling incidents, the company has arranged materials and equipment at 6 locations and spread them evenly across the province's power grid; assigned the District and City Power Companies to proactively develop plans to provide temporary and quick power supply when the power grid has problems during the rainy and stormy season. In any situation, important and priority loads are supplied with continuous and stable power, especially anti-flooding pumping stations, key pumping stations, etc.

PV:What advice do you have for customers using electricity during the rainy season?
Mr. Nguyen Thuong Hien:When detecting someone violating the power grid (14 prohibitions on power grid safety), it is necessary to immediately report to Nghe An Electricity Company, phone number: 0382210210 or the nearest police station.
When detecting a person being electrocuted, first of all, quickly separate the victim from the electric current by turning off the circuit breaker. You can use any dry object that is not made of metal to push and separate the victim from the power source (note: do not use bare hands, but wear rubber gloves or dry cloth, wear dry clogs or sandals or stand on a dry board, use a dry wooden stick to push the electric wire away).
Never touch the victim directly without disconnecting the power source. Stay away from fallen electrical wires and quickly provide first aid to the victim, call the nearest medical facility and follow the instructions of the doctor or medical staff.
PV:Thank you!
